The LG 34WQ60C-B is a curved professional ultrawide monitor for optimum comfort while viewing. It is QHD ultrawide monitor for reading, coding, gaming, and media creation.
I highly believe that curved monitors are the future, mainly because the large screens seem more comfortable and easy for prolonged hours due to the curvature that provide a centre-focused viewing experience.
This ultrawide monitor is a step above and is an ideal choice for professionals due to its curvature and high resolution screen.
However, it is not a perfect ultrawide monitor because it lacks a lot of features like AMD FreeSync, speakers, adjustable stand, USB Type-C and high refresh rate like its flat panel model.
For around $450, you are getting an excellent display for your professional needs, but with a lot of shortcomings.

Superb
LG 34WQ60C-B
The LG 34WQ60C-B belongs to the premium ultrawide series of monitors from LG. It is a costly monitor and I recommend this display to professionals only.
Professions like coding, media creation, and multi-tasking are highly suitable for this monitor, but gamers and binge-watchers should get something else.
This is not for gaming mainly because it does not have AMD FreeSync technology, also it lacks high refresh rate display like on the LG 34WQ650-W (read review) which has 100Hz refresh rate.
The LG 34WQ60C-B houses an IPS panel with ultrawide aspect ratio, making it an excellent monitor for office and coding use.
This ultrawide monitor has 60Hz refresh rate, but it does not have AMD FreeSync, making it not a great display for gaming.
It does not have built-in speakers, but it gets HDR 10, so it is a good choice for entertainment. Also, the ultrawide form-factor has decent screen real estate for media creation.

Design & Ergonomics
Front

- Monitor Type – Curved Ultrawide
- Width – 81.7cm
- Height – 48.5 cm
The LG 34WQ60C-B has an all-black finish on the monitor.
I believe, the silver-black combination suits well with the LG monitors.
It is a curved ultrawide monitor and that gives a superb appearance on the desk.
The chassis is very wide, so make sure you have enough space on the desk to house this monitor.
Back

- Depth – 22.3 cm
- VESA Mount – 100x100mm
- Ports Position – Down-Facing
The LG 34WQ60C-B has a plain design from the back.
It comes finished in black color on the back with down-facing connectivity ports.
It is quite deep, so make sure you have enough space from the wall.
Also, it is wall-mountable with 100x100mm VESA mounting.
There is a joystick for controlling OSD menu on the right-back of the monitor.
Bezels

- Thinness – N/A
The bezels of LG 34WQW60C-B are very thin, but only from the three sides.
The bottom one is noticeably thick and that is common with most monitors.
This form-factor is not the most suitable for dual setups, because you are getting the screen space of dual monitors on a single one.
Build Quality

- Weight – 15.21 lbs
The build quality is good, it is plastic but of a very good quality.
However, the stand feels solid and it seems to be of metal.
The weight is 15.21 lbs, which is quite heavy, so make sure to purchase a sturdy monitor arm if you are buying one.
Stand

- Removable Stand – Yes
- Cable Management – N/A
The stand on the LG 34WQ60C-B is basic because it only offers tilt function.
However, the stability is superb on the desk despite holding a large display.
The stand has LG’s ArcLine design, and it takes very less amount of space on the desk.
Ergonomics

- Tilt – 20° Backward
- Swivel – N/A
- Height – N/A
- Pivot – N/A
The LG 34WQ60C-B has poor ergonomics because it only offers tilt function.
There are no swivel and height functions.
Pivot is not possible with ultrawide, but you can check out our vertical monitors for coding.
Display & Performance
Panel
- Panel Type – IPS
- Panel Size – 34-inch
- Panel Curve – 1500R
- Aspect Ratio – 21:9
- Panel Depth – 10 bits (8 bits+FRC)
The LG 34WQ60C-B features an IPS panel with 34-inch screen size.
It feels super comfortable and offers excellent visibility for coding and video editing purposes.
It comes with 21:9 aspect ratio with panel depth of 10 bits so it can display 16.7 million colors which makes it a color-rich panel.
Its wide aspect ratio with 1500R curved design provides immersive office and gaming experience.
Screen Clarity
- Resolution – 3440x1440p
- PPI – 110 PPI
The LG 34WQ60C-B monitor has QHD screen resolution with 3440×1440 pixels resolution.
It results in average 110 PPI on the 34-inch screen size.
The screen clarity and visibility makes it an excellent display for reading.
Also, the large screen makes it an ideal monitor for putting at a distance.
Brightness
- Peak Brightness – 300-nits
The LG 34WQ60C-B has acceptable 300-nits peak brightness and that is ideal for bright rooms.
There is an anti-glare coating on the panel which should eliminate most glares and reflections.
However, do not expect it to perform excellent while viewing HDR content.
Contrast
- Contrast Ratio – 1000:1
This monitor’s contrast ratio is 1000:1, which is standard for IPS monitors.
The blacks appear grayish in the dark, but it might not bother most.
If you do color-accurate tasks in the dark, you will not be able to see blacks accurately.
Viewing Angles
- Viewing Angles – 178°
LG claims 178-degrees vertical viewing angles which is excellent.
The colors do not fade, hence it is a perfect monitor to mount at a height or on the wall.
The horizontal viewing angles are also wide.
Hence, it is a perfect monitor for sharing your work with clients or colleague sitting on the side.
Color Coverage
- sRGB – 99%
- NTSC – 72%
The color coverage is good with the 99% sRGB on this monitor.
It is perfect for viewing SDR content, and it produces vibrant colors bringing the viewing experience true-to-life.
Response Time
- Response Time – 1 ms MBR
The LG 34WQ60C-B has 1 ms minimum response time which should handle everyday motion-intensive tasks and gaming.
It is only possible when you select the MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) mode from the OSD menu.
Refresh Rate
- Refresh Rate – 60Hz
It has max 60Hz refresh rate only, which feels quite boring.
If gaming on an ultrawide is your top priority, check out this 200Hz monitor from Sceptre.
BFI
- Black Frame Insertion – Yes
The LG 34WQ60C-B has black frame insertion technology which LG calls Motion Blur Reduction.
HDR
- HDR – HDR 10
The LG 34WQ60C-B is HDR 10 certified and we think it offers below-par HDR performance.
Mainly because the peak brightness is low for HDR to shine, and there is no wide color gamut coverage.
Features
Low Blue Light
This ultrawide monitor has built-in low blue light mode for reading.
It can be toggled via OSD menu.
If your eyes-strain, I highly recommend that you enable this feature.
Black Stabilizer
Black Stabilizer boosts contrast ratio of dark scenes so that you can see the visuals with utmost clarity.
Screen Split
This monitor has LG’s screen split feature for tiling up all your applications side-by-side so that you can multitask upon them efficiently.
Crosshair
Crosshair feature displays a crosshair in the middle of the screen so that you can get ultimate accuracy while playing first person shooter gamers.
Dynamic Action Sync

It has vaiours HDR effects for games and entertainment purposes.
Connectivity
Video Inputs
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
The LG 34WQ60C-B has dual HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4.
Both the video ports support display’s max resolution at max refresh rate.
USB, Other Ports
- 1x 3.5mm Audio Out
It only offers a single headphone jack, and there are no USB ports.
That’s a Wrap!

We think LG 34WQ60C-B is a great ultrawide display equipped with all the modern features and latest technologies for coding and media creation use.
It is for professionals only, so normal users should stay away, and there is not much difference between this and its adjustable model.
Hence, I recommend that you check out its higher model (LG 34WQ75C-B), because it is a monitor with speakers, height function, AMD FreeSync and rich connectivity ports for a little extra price than this.
