The LG 24GN600-B has tight arrangement of pixels, resulting in optimum sharpness for reading and office use.

Gamers will love the display because of its high peak brightness, 144Hz refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium.

It does not have a pair of built-in speakers so it not a good choice for entertainment. However, you do get HDR 10 certification with this monitor.

The LG 24GN600-B has a plain design from the front and the first thing you will notice that this monitor has excellent thin bezels.

It is not a big monitor as such so it should easily fit most spaces. There is a LG logo in the middle of the bottom bezel and stand has a spreaded-leg design. It is hard to tell it is a gaming monitor from the front.

The back of the LG 24GN600-B looks fantastic and it looks like a proper gaming monitor from the back. There is a ring in red color on the back with Ultragear logo on the top.

We also noticed there are vents for heat to dissipate. In the center of the red ring, there are ports, and holes for VESA mounting. The ports are back-facing so that should increase the depth of this monitor to certain centimetres.

Bezels

The bezels of the LG 24GN600-B are very thin except for the bottom one. It is frameless from three-sides so that gives it a modern look and makes it compatible for dual gaming setup.

Build Quality

Weight – 8.6 lbs

The build quality of LG 24GN600-B is excellent and it feels like a premium gaming monitor. Although it is made up of plastic parts, but there are no gaps and the parts seem very well put together.

It is heavier than most 24-inch monitors. Our previously reviewed 24″ monitor Sceptre E248W-19203R is lighter than this.

Stand

The LG 24GN600-B’s stand has excellent stability and it is heavy at around 1 pound in weight. It prevents wobble to a great extent and it is easily removable with a click mechanism.

Its stand does not offer any cable management hole or clip and that makes it difficult to make a cable-free setup with this monitor.

Its tilt range is very narrow because we have seen monitor offering wider tilt range than this.

The LG 24GN600-B houses a high refresh rate IPS panel with 23.8-inch screen size and that is great in terms of colors and viewing angles compared to TN and VA counterparts. It is a perfect sized monitor for competitive gaming.

This cheap gaming monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio panel with panel depth of 8 bits so it can display 16 million colors which makes it a colorful panel for gaming.

This monitor has FHD screen resolution, meaning 1920×1080 pixels resolution and that results in excellent 92 PPI on the 23.8-inch screen size.

The screen clarity is fantastic because of the close arrangement of pixels, making it a perfect monitor for sharp gaming. It stays easy on the GPU and allows consistent high refresh rate gaming.

Brightness

Peak Brightness – 300-nits

The LG 24GN600-B can reach 300-nits at its peak and that feels satisfactory for indoor lighting conditions. It can go above 300-nits at some instances while displaying HDR content.

Also, the reflection handling is great because there is an anti-glare coating on the display and it perfectly combats glare.

Contrast

Contrast Ratio – 3000:1

The contrast ratio on this monitor is 1000:1, which is not that great for dark rooms. Blacks might appear gray on this monitor in the dark.

If you want a gaming monitor for dark rooms, consider the Koorui gaming monitor because it is VA panel monitor and VA panel performs excellent in the dark due to their high contrast ratios.

Viewing Angles

This gaming monitor from LG has fantastic viewing angles resulting in consistent image from side angles. It is great for the person sitting besides, and perfect for mounting on the wall or placing the monitor at a height.

Color Coverage

The color coverage on the LG 24GN600-B is standard. It is in the range not narrow or not wider. It is perfect for viewing SDR content or SDR gaming.

Response Time

Response Time – 1ms

The LG 24GN600-B has lowest 1ms response time making it perfect for gamers. It offers smooth motion handling with a clear picture while playing motion-intensive games. Plus, the Dynamic Action Sync further reduces the input lag to the lowest for a responsive gaming experience.

Its TN model LG 24GL600F is faster on paper than this, but the difference is unnoticeable to a human eye.

Refresh Rate

Refresh Rate – 144Hz

The LG 24GN600-B has max 144Hz refresh rate which is enough to satisfy most gamers. It provides smooth gameplay with tear-free and stutter-free experience.

The ASUS VG248QG has higher 165Hz refresh rate than the LG 24GN600-B with a response time lower than this at 0.5ms, but it is a TN monitor so you will trade-off wide viewing angels and better colors for higher refresh rate.

The LG 24GN600-B offers backlight strobing technology for motion blur reduction. LG calls in MBR (Motion Blue Reduction) and there is a dedicated mode for it in the OSD menu.

HDR

The LG 24GN600-B is HDR 10 certified, but there is not much use of it because there is no wide color gamut coverage.

Black Stabilizer

Black Stabilizer adjusts the Gamma curve to reveal the details in dark scenes while gaming. Gamers are finding it useful and that is great for night gaming.

Motion Blur Reduction is a backlight strobing technology or black frame insertion technology in LG monitor for maximum blur reduction.

Crosshair

Crosshair can be accessed from the OSB menu and it stays in the middle of the screen so that you can do no-scope awping in CS GO.

Dynamic Action Sync

Dynamic Action Sync lowers the input lag to the lowest so that you have a responsive gaming session.
